Who Should Attend?
This course is designed for new and / or less experienced press operators at newspapers and commercial printing operations.
What will be learned?
Students will receive hands-on training in the use of various press equipment as well as classroom study. Participants will also receive take-away information for continued development at their home newspaper. The CMYK-U goal is for each student to return to the job at the one-, or possibly two-year, skill level of press operation In the CMYK-U controlled training environment - an intense week of training -- this has proven to be an achievable goal.

Four and one half days (Monday 8:30 a.m.- Friday noon)

Who Should Attend?
This course is designed for more experienced press operators at newspaper operations, including press operators who have successfully completed the Press Operator Training Course or those with equivalent on-site experience.
What will be learned?
Attendees will receive expanded information about color theory as it relates to what's happening on press, practice and advanced trouble shooting skills and a review of other technical aspects. Both older and current press technologies as well as press technologies that are on the future horizon will be discovered. As in the Press Operator and Executive Press Operation Courses, students of the advanced Press training Course will receive a hands-on experience. The CMYK-U goal is for each attendee to elevate his or her technical skills to the highest levels of press operation in the industry.

Four days (Monday - Thursday)

This course is designed for press operators at newspapers or commercial printing operations.
What will be learned?
Students will undergo specific training on how to maintain their presses in peak running condition. Intensive hands-on training will feature tips on maximizing longer running life from your equipment. Both older and current press technology will be covered, as well as advanced trouble shooting skills and a parts recognition skill set. This course will also include classroom study.

Senior managers and department head levels who desire to understand more about press operations. Publishers, Editors, Advertising Managers, Finance Managers, Human Resource Administrators and others are eligible.
What will be learned?
Attendees will receive targeted information about printing operations, preparing them to identify and relate to specific press area functions. As in Press Operator and advanced Press operator Courses, Attendees of the Executive Press Training Course will receive hands-on experience! The CMYK-U goal is for each attendee to be able to confidently "speak press" and understand what it is to "be" a press operator.
